About S.O.S.

Sustainability: The quality of not being harmful to the environment or depleting natural resources, and thereby supporting long-term ecological balance.

Organic(s): Of, relating to, yielding, or involving the use of food produced with the use of feed or fertilizer of plant or animal origin without employment of chemically formulated fertilizers, growth stimulants, antibiotics, or pesticides.

Survival: The continuation of life or existence.

After much thought and deliberation, I decided to create this blog for two purposes: One, to act as a home for anything and everything relating to those definitions above, from organic gardening tips, to education about sustainably conscious corporations and practices, to general survival tips.

Two, to show that we need to change our ways of living in so many ways, because they are not naturally healthy, and they are not in the best interest of sustaining the population of the human race. A true, Save Our Ship! message from Earth.

So besides being a clever play on words, I really do hope to tie together these concepts throughout this blog, in the hopes of motivating myself, and anyone interested, to live, think, and act with more thought towards our survival in sustainable and organic ways.

I encourage you to comment with feedback, advice, or your personal experiences.
